We are very happy to help you plan your trip whilst staying with us at Plantation House.  We can arrange a private, air-conditioned mini-van with driver to get you safely to your destination.  It’s also very easy to make your own way around the Island, with a good network of busses & local trains.  Tuk-tuk drivers are aplenty.  We can give you advise on distance, timing, and approximate pricing whether it be via private driver or using local transportation.

• Surf!!
• Take a couple of surf lessons (around £7 an hour)
• Galle Fort – 18 kilometres from Plantation House. A perfect day outing, visit the Dutch built Fort, have a day of shopping for colourful Sri Lankan products.  
• A half-day cookery class – go home being an expert at making a perfect curry (and other gorgeous dishes)
• Visit the Spice Market 
• The colourful Fruit & Vegetable Markets
• Ayurveda Treatments

• Whale Watching in Marissa
